Guerilla in Shethya
Increasing numbers of fighting-age saurians have been abandoning their work and fleeing into the hills. What was thought to be the work of anti-manorial agitators has proved to be far more dangerous. Marching beneath the banner of Chothak of Vokhathi, a bandit army have by underhanded tactics won a small victory against the forces of the Empire, acquiring military equipment from a poorly-guarded munitions warehouse.
Riverwatch Ambitions Quashed
The head of the Riverwatch, Evan Schmiedssohn, has been foiled in his attempt to expand the remit of that respected but modest body. He presented a plan to establish dedicated military harbors on crown land adjoining each major lake and at multiple points along the Messara coast. Needless to say, this cynical power grab was quickly rejected and, although Prefect Schmiedssohn maintains his position, he is out of favor at court and with Supreme Legionary Command.
Major Buccaneer Raid
For the first time, the buccaneers forced their way upriver as far as their boats could take them. The city of Miserin-sur-Serie eventually repulsed the attack, but not before its river quarter had been pillaged and set alight. Alberto Lee is said to have been there in person, fighting like a man possessed. Reports indicate that the pirates put out to sea unchallenged with their ill-gotten gains.
